This position is required to work on-site 5 days a week.What we do: The Senior Engineering Program Financial Analyst serves as a key financial partner to Engineering, responsible for owning program-level purchasing processes, financial planning support, and spend governance. This role drives visibility into R&D and Engineering program financial performance, exercises independent judgment in managing purchasing workflows and budget alignment, and ensures compliance with company financial policies.The position requires strong analytical capability, sound decision-making, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders across Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and Accounting. What you can do:Program Financial Oversight & Decision SupportOwn tracking and analysis of Engineering and R&D program spend against approved budgets, forecasts, and project plansAnalyze committed, actual, and forecasted costs; identify variances, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actionsEvaluate financial impact of program changes in scope, timing, or vendor strategy and advise Engineering and Finance leadership on implicationsProactively identify financial risks (e.g., overspend, funding gaps) and recommend mitigation strategiesPurchasing Governance & Process OwnershipOversee purchase request and requisition processes to ensure alignment with budget, business justification, and company policyReview and approve completeness and compliance of purchasing packages prior to submission, exercising judgment to prevent downstream riskEstablish and enforce timing expectations for purchase initiation relative to vendor commitments and project milestonesServe as a subject matter resource for purchasing workflows, ERP processes, and financial controlsCross-Functional CollaborationAct as a primary liaison between Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Accounting, and vendors to resolve complex issues and drive timely outcomesInfluence stakeholders to ensure adherence to financial processes, documentation standards, and approval requirementsPartner with program managers and Engineering leadership to align purchasing and financial execution with program objectivesReporting, Insights & CommunicationDevelop and deliver insight-driven reports and presentations for Engineering leadership, Finance, and executive stakeholders (including CTO-level updates)Translate financial data into actionable insights that support decision-making and operational planningMaintain accurate and audit-ready financial records, while improving visibility into key program metricsProcess Improvement & Operational EffectivenessIdentify gaps in purchasing, tracking, and financial workflows; lead or support implementation of process improvementsRecommend enhancements to tools, trackers, and reporting to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalabilitySupport continuous improvement of financial and operational processes within Engineering programsAbility to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally What you can contribute:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Finance, or a related field is requiredMinimum of five (5) years of experience in financial analysis, program support, purchasing, or operationsStrong understanding of purchasing workflows, budget management, and financial controlsExperience analyzing financial data, identifying trends/variances, and making recommendationsAbility to exercise independent judgment in evaluating data, processes, and business needsStrong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing executive-level materialsHigh attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting and documentationAbility to collaborate and influence across technical and finance organizations Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location.
