Senior Technician Manufacturing Engineering

Job Summary Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set‑up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments. Main Responsibilities Observe and comply with all safety rules and regulations, including QSR and ISO standards. Participate in the Material Review Board (MRB) decision process. Identify and implement corrective actions for manufacturing related issues. Perform equipment set‑up and corrective, preventive and calibration maintenance. Install and validate equipment and processes in the production area to improve yield and/or reduce cycle time following the established validation procedure. Evaluate operating data to conduct on‑line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. May develop or revise documents and procedures; certify manufacturing associates in the production processes. Evaluate and order necessary equipment, tools and fixtures; may provide work direction to other employees in the work group. Actively participate in the comprehensive development of plans including an outline of duties and project assignments. Demonstrate independence by prioritizing and completing assignments; solve unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions. Develop information which extends the existing boundaries of knowledge in a given field; troubleshoot problems. Qualifications Education: Associate’s Degree (±13 years) or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Minimum 8 years of related work experience; may require a license or certification in the area of expertise. Superior knowledge of highly complex technical concepts and/or development of advanced technologies or processes. Thorough understanding of product or systems fundamentals in cross‑functional areas. Ability to recommend, utilize, interpret advanced numerical and statistical data and/or computer software programs for documentation, analysis and problem resolution. Strong cognitive skills to perform and guide technical activities resulting from self‑initiated or assigned programs; create technical basis including records of invention, patents, product definitions, developments and processes. Experience working in a quality system environment; non‑compliance may result in regulatory consequences.
