Inspector-In Process --Sr. Purpose: A Senior Inspector is an experienced quality or technical inspector responsible for performing complex inspections, ensuring products or processes meet specifications, and mentoring junior inspectors. Key Responsibilities: Perform advanced inspections using measurement tools, gauges, and testing equipment. Read Drawing and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product Verify in-process and final product conformance on high-voltage assemblies and test setups. Lead First Article Inspections (FAIs) and document results in accordance with AS9102 or equivalent standards. Document nonconformities and prepare inspection reports. Provide technical support and guidance to other inspectors. Support calibration and equipment verification. Maintain inspection records per quality management system requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100). Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations. Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control. Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final product to the specifications. Resolving quality-related issues and adhering to deadlines Prepare documentation of the inspection process, which includes detailed reports and performance records Direct assembly adjustments to ensure operations reflect quality standards Put accessary together for product before shipment Perform Quality Audit Perform necessary transactions in ERP system. Train and mentor Inspectors I–II on inspection methods, test procedures, and safety practices. Typical Requirements: 5 years of inspection experience. Familiarity with advanced inspection tools. Advanced understanding of schematics, wiring practices, insulation systems, and clearance/creepage requirements. Required Certification: IPC-A-610 and IPC-WHMA-A-620 (current). Preferred Certifications: ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or equivalent. Our good faith estimate of the hourly rate range for this role is $30.00 to $35.00. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors.
