Job Details Job Title: Reach Truck Operator Location: Kuna Foodservice - Dupo, IL 62239 Pay Range: $19.00 - $22.00 Hourly FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly) Department: Warehouse Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor Notes Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Essential Functions Locates proper slot on storage racks, sets pallets in place with forklift or hand stack items, enters product data and location into appropriate unit. Locates and performs count check of incoming freight in the staging area and transports to freezer with forklift/pallet jack. Replenishes pick slots with outgoing stock items according to next day’s work orders. Rotates date-sensitive stock to the front of the rack and/or removes outdated out-of-date inventory according to company policy. Disperses over-stocked items to available slots for temporary storage. Removes empty pallets, cardboard packing, and strapping to the proper area or receptacles. Inspects empty pallets for damage, stacks and moves pallets with pallet jack or forklift to the proper storage area. Follows all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines. Ensures the work area is safe and reports any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately. Obtains supplies required to perform the work and prepares for operations. Puts on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear. Meets required productivity and accuracy standards. Works from receiving sheets, computer print-out, established procedures and practices, written and/or verbal instructions. Inspects items for damage, performs temperature and quality checks and takes appropriate action as needed. Performs general housekeeping duties in work area as needed. Completes vehicle inspection checklist. Secures all equipment and completes all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift. Performs other related duties as assigned. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to read, write and communicate in English. Must have sufficient reasoning capabilities to solve practical problems (e.g., is product commercially acceptable? Is this the product the customer ordered?). Must be able to hear commands given via pick-to-voice application. Must have basic math skills. Must be able to work in a variety of temperatures (from -10 to 55+ degrees). Must be able to work overtime, as required. Work Environment This position works in a warehouse setting, with routine exposure to extreme temperatures (to -10 degrees) during the workday. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as riding forklift, stand-up forklift, hand truck, pallet jacks, box cutters, and pick-to-voice equipment. It may also use standard office equipment such as phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Physical Demands Grasps and/or manipulates objects while quickly moving on hand, a hand and arm together or two hands. Listen and respond to voice commands – wear headset. Lift, push, carry 51 to 100 lbs. Bend, stoop, twist, kneel. Balance / ride on stand-up pallet jack. Lift, push, carry 0 to 50 lbs. Reach / lift above the shoulder 0 to 50 lbs. Input data on hand-held device. Required Education and Experience High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience. Basic math skills.
