Job Summary

Shipping Supervisor in a Manufacturuing environment. JOBBOSS system experience is a plus.

The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor oversees daily shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution operations. This role supervises warehouse staff, maintains inventory accuracy, enforces safety standards, and coordinates with internal departments and external carriers.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities

• Ensure accurate receipt, inspection, documentation, and storage of incoming shipments

• Oversee order picking, packing, and shipping to meet delivery schedules

• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular counts and system updates

• Schedule and supervise warehouse staff, including training and performance monitoring

• Enforce safety, quality, and company policies and procedures

• Coordinate with carriers, vendors, and internal departments to resolve issues

• Prepare and maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory reports

• Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for efficiency

• Handle discrepancies, damaged goods, and customer or vendor claims

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s degree preferred)

• 2–5 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations

• Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred

• Knowledge of inventory control systems and warehouse management software

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

• Ability to operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment (certification a plus)

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Ability to lift and move materials as required

Work Environment

• Warehouse setting with exposure to moving equipment and varying temperatures

• Standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods
