Staff Accountant

Staff AccountantWe are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to support core accounting activities for a Long-term Contract position based in Midland, Texas. In this role, you will partner closely with local leadership to keep financial records accurate, deliver timely reporting, and help maintain smooth daily accounting operations. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, sound analytical judgment, and the ability to manage several deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:Perform recurring bank account reconciliations and investigate variances to ensure balances are accurate.Prepare and enter journal entries with a high level of accuracy and in accordance with established timelines.Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities by organizing schedules and completing assigned accounting tasks.Produce financial reports and provide data-driven support for management review and decision-making.Maintain reliable accounting documentation and help preserve the accuracy of the general ledger.Reconcile balance sheet and other key accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.Provide backup support for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions when business needs require it.Assist with budget-related reporting, audit support, and compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures.
