AP Specialist

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist in Rockville, MD. Summary: The AP Specialist is responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, payment preparation, vendor account maintenance, and reconciliation. This role ensures invoices are processed accurately and timely while maintaining strong vendor relationships and accurate financial records. Key Responsibilities:

• Process and verify invoices, expense reports, and payment requests
• Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation
• Prepare and process vendor payments
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate AP records and documentation
• Assist with month-end closing and reporting
• Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding payments
• High School diploma required; Accounting or Finance education preferred
• 4+ years of accounts payable or accounting experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
