Athletics Coach - Freshman Football Coach Framingham Public Schools Department of Athletics – Framingham, Massachusetts Job Details Position Type: Part-Time Salary: $2,955.96 to $10,557 Stipend Job Requirements: Citizenship, residency or work visa required Responsibilities Provide direct training and guidance to athletes, focusing on sport‑specific skills and performance improvement. Identify players’ strengths and use diverse coaching styles to build confidence and resilience. Model and enforce high standards of sportsmanship, anti‑racism, and civic responsibility. Support academic success by reinforcing time management and educational priorities. Develop and execute practice schedules balancing individual skill and team strategy. Continuously assess and evaluate athlete performance during training and competition. Advise athletes on nutrition, injury prevention, and proper equipment use. Collaborate with the Director of Athletics to schedule facilities and coordinate transportation. Ensure safety by adhering to health protocols, concussion management, and emergency procedures. Maintain equipment inventories, uniforms, and compliance with district and MIAA regulations. Manage confidential records regarding eligibility, medical clearances, and performance data. Communicate clearly with athletes, parents, staff, and community about expectations and progress. Engage athletes from diverse backgrounds, promoting cultural proficiency and inclusive excellence. Participate in ongoing professional development and coaching meetings. Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics. Qualifications High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. 2–4 years of no less than graduate coaching/playing experience for the sport. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese strongly preferred. Required coaching certifications: CPR/First Aid and Concussion Training (MIAA‑required). Strong leadership, communication, analytical, safety, cultural proficiency, professionalism, organizational, and compliance skills. Proficiency in Google Workspace and athletic technologies or video analysis tools. Benefits Covered under the Framingham Teachers Association (Unit A) Contract. Seasonal work year.
