TECHNICIAN

Job Purpose:The Automotive Technician at Deacon Jones Auto Group is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to ensure customer satisfaction and vehicle safety. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and a commitment to providing excellent service.Key Responsibilities:Perform thorough diagnostics to identify mechanical issues in vehicles.Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.Repair or replace faulty parts and systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical components.Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately assess vehicle conditions.Maintain detailed records of services performed and parts used.Communicate effectively with customers, explaining vehicle issues and repair options.Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all repair and maintenance activities.Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and improve service efficiency.Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all clients.Required Education:High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in automotive technology or related field is preferred.Required Experience:Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.Proven experience with vehicle diagnostics and repair in a dealership or independent shop setting.Experience working with a variety of automotive makes and models.Required Skills and Abilities:Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve vehicle issues.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and customers.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr Priority Dispatch Corp.
