We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering Architect with experience in Azure cloud ecosystem , particularly Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Databricks . The ideal candidate will design, architect, and oversee scalable, high-performance data platforms and pipelines that enable analytics, reporting, and AI/ML use cases. Key Responsibilities
Technical Skills
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering Architect with experience in Azure cloud ecosystem , particularly Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Databricks . The ideal candidate will design, architect, and oversee scalable, high-performance data platforms and pipelines that enable analytics, reporting, and AI/ML use cases. Key Responsibilities
- Architect and design end-to-end data solutions on Azure using:
- Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Azure Databricks
- Azure Data Lake (ADLS Gen2)
- Azure Synapse / SQL Database
- Define data architecture standards , frameworks, and best practices for:
- Data ingestion (batch & streaming)
- Data transformation (ETL/ELT)
- Data storage and modeling
- Lead the implementation of scalable data pipelines using ADF and Databricks (PySpark, SQL)
- Design and optimize Delta Lake architecture and medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) data layers
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate into technical solutions
- Ensure data governance, security, and compliance (RBAC, data masking, encryption)
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering teams
- Optimize performance and cost of Azure data services
- Integrate real-time and batch processing pipelines
Technical Skills
- Strong experience with:
- Azure Data Factory (ADF) (pipelines, triggers, integration runtime)
- Azure Databricks (PySpark, notebooks, workflows)
- Delta Lake and lakehouse architecture
- Expertise in:
- Python / PySpark
- SQL
- Data modeling (star/snowflake schemas)
- Experience with:
- Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2)
- Azure Synapse Analytics or SQL Server
- Data ingestion patterns (API, streaming, files, CDC)
- Knowledge of:
- CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub)
- Infrastructure-as-Code (ARM, Terraform - preferred)
- Monitoring (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics)
- understanding of:
- Cloud architecture patterns
- Distributed data processing
- Data warehousing & lakehouse concepts
