About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – NICU (12-Hour Days)

Location

Yakima, WA | Level III NICU

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (07:00–19:30, with rotating night coverage 19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to NICU patients ranging from 26 weeks gestation and higher, with acuity-based patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:3
• Manage and monitor patients on Bubble CPAP, high flow, nasal cannula, and conventional ventilators (no oscillators)
• Assist with central line procedures including UAC, PICC, and UVC placements
• Deliver NAS care utilizing eat, sleep, console treatment protocols as well as morphine weaning
• Float to Mother Baby or other units as needed, functioning as a 1:1 or NAC
• Participate in every-other-weekend rotation as needed; no on-call requirement

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of NICU nursing experience
• Active Washington State RN license or valid Compact RN license
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Proficient IV skills and experience with central line assistance
• Experience with conventional ventilators in a NICU setting
• Proficiency with Epic EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Pediatric nursing experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Bubble CPAP, high flow oxygen therapy, nasal cannula, and neo-puff resuscitation devices
• First-time travelers with significant NICU experience will be considered
