Job Summary

The Boone Health Department of Public Relations has an opening for a Communications Consultant II. The successful candidate has strong writing and editing skills, This position is responsible for internal communications that include Boone Hospital and all of its clinics and imaging services, executive messaging, general editing, and providing support for certain employee activities. The position also has some graphic design and portrait photography responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities

• Gather and send regular internal communications to targeted internal audiences. Communications include 1X/week internal newsletter and non-regular announcements for targeted audiences.
• Write up to two articles for Boone Health's quarterly magazine for each edition.
• Assist with editing written communications produced by the department.
• Take and edit photos for official publication, including websites and social media.
• Manage software programs that are responsible for internal communications.
• Manage communications for key events and/or publications, including annual service awards, Nurses Week, and the annual nursing report.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a communications-related field or 3-5 years of experience in communications-related work.
• Strong writing and editing skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Teams.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new software programs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Graphic design
• Photography expertise, including editing photos. Ability to work with staff members and produce high-quality, professional portraits.
• Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously.
