Sanitation Team Member

Total Store Sanitation RepresentativeAs a Total Store Sanitation Representative, you'll maintain cleanliness and safety for an entire Store, inside and out, all while making our customers feel welcome. Key responsibilities include sanitation and maintenance tasks such as maintaining the Store's cleanliness and safety with a sense of urgency and prioritization, including floors, windows, break rooms, and restrooms. You will also maintain fulfillment of department hand wash sinks, clean and pick up trash and debris from flower beds and yard around the Store, use H-E-B chemical program and correctly organize and maintain stock in the maintenance room, empty and clean trash receptacles throughout the store and each department, and ensure food safety and sanitation standards are achieved by following SOPs. Additionally, you will communicate maintenance needs, problems, or solutions to Store Leaders and work with customers, attending to their needs and assisting them in the location of product. Employees may be required to perform other job-related tasks as requested by their supervisor, subject to reasonable accommodations.Qualifications and key requirements include being 18 years or older, having work experience, knowledge of OSHA guidelines, sack skills, ability to take initiative and do what needs to be done, ability to prioritize competing tasks, customer service-oriented, initiative, willingness to do what needs to be done, ability to work with customers and attend to their needs, and a high school diploma or GED or equivalent. Licenses/certifications include completion of Company Orientation, In-store orientation, Basics of Safety, Annual Food Handler, and basic HAZMAT/Chemical Safety certifications upon hire. Physical demands include constantly walking, reaching at waist, grasping, pushing/pulling with arms, frequently bending, occasionally sitting, standing, reaching overhead, at shoulder, at knee, at floor, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, pivoting, twisting, pinching, performing fine motor movements, and occasionally being exposed to cold, ambient temperatures, loud noise, and wet conditions. Demonstrate the ability to lift 50 lbs, and manage in excess of 50 lbs. It is Partners' responsibility to never lift beyond their own safe lifting limit. If an item is too heavy to lift, push or pull, and/or carry, the Partner must break the box down into lighter, smaller, more manageable components, or ask for assistance from another Partner or a manager.
