Job Description

One of the premier Urology clinics in the Houston Medical Center is seeking a Medical Assistant II who will perform patient care and assist clerical and administrative staff. If this is your time to make a difference in your community, apply today!

 

Responsibilities:

• Escorted patients to exam rooms, obtain medical history and measures vital signs.
• Educated and may give directions to patient regarding medication and treatment plan as instructed by physician or physician assistant 
• Maintained patient charts ensuring all related reports, labs and information is filed and available in patient records. 
• Call in prescription refills. 
• Assist with Urological procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Two to three years of Medical Assistant experience within a clinic/physician office setting is required.
• Must have obtained Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited program. 
• Must have completed High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in Urology or a specialty clinic is a strong plus.
• Experience with Epic is a strong plus.

Benefits and Perks:

• $18.00/hr. - $24.00/hr.
