Benefits available are paid sick time and a 403B retirement Deadline to apply is May 31, 2026 Requirements Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program Completion of a clinical fellowship year (CFY) or equivalent supervised clinical experience. Experience with dysphagia assessment and treatment preferred. Current Speech-Language Pathologist license in the State of Colorado ( or ability to obtain prior to hire) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech- Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Strong Clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Knowledge of evidence-based practice in speech, language, and swallowing disorders Ability to develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and staff Strong Documentation and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team Familiar with electronic medical record (EMR) systems Ability to prioritize workload and manage time effectively in a fast paced envirnment The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. This position provides patient-centered care across applicable settings, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, and ensures compliance with all regulatory and documentation standards. The SLP plays a critical role in improving patient outcomes, functional independence, and quality of life. This will be in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Both Adults and pediatric patients Clinical Responsibilities Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs Provide therapeutic interventions to improve communication and swallowing function Perform bedside and/or instrumental swallowing assessments as appropriate Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly Documentation and Compliance Complete timely and accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory, hospital, and payer requirements Maintain patient records, treatment notes, and discharge summaries Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility policies and standards Collaboration and Communication Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapy team members, and other healthcare professionals Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and home exercises Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning Operational Responsibilities Maintain therapy equipment and ensure a safe treatment environment Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetingsAssist in program development and expansion of speech therapy services as needed Additional Duties Provide coverage across departments or service lines as needed Participate in continuing education and maintain professional competencies Perform other duties as assigned Work Environment & Physical Requirements Work performed in hospital, outpatient clinic, and/or rehabilitation settings Frequent standing, walking, bending, and assisting patients with mobility Ability to lift and/or assist patients as needed (up to 50 lbs with assistance) Exposure to various patient conditions and communicable diseases #J-18808-Ljbffr Kids for the Future
