Come join Lockheed Martin in The Last Frontier! We are currently seeking a dedicated Aircraft Electrician to join our dynamic team, focusing on the F-22 aircraft. The vast wilderness of Alaska offers a virtually unlimited playground for the outdoor enthusiast, while nearby Anchorage provides the same amenities you would find in any large city. This position is located at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska supporting the F-22 modification line. This pivotal role involves a broad spectrum of responsibilities.

What You Will Be Doing: Some of the job requirements & responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Services, repairs, and overhauls F-22 aircraft electrical & avionics systems to ensure airworthiness.
• Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft electrical/avionics system and components.
• Incorporates engineering changes. Replaces and repairs worn or damaged components.
• Adjusts, repairs, and replaces electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories.
• Performs operational checks, pre & post modification/upgrade/overhaul testing, troubleshoots and repairs electrical and avionics systems on aircraft as required.
• Work typically requires a detailed understanding of the interrelationships of electrical/avionics circuits and components.
• Uses complex test instruments and computer control equipment.
• Work may be reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices, may provide technical guidance.
• Selected candidate will have experience with understanding technical requirements on fighter type aircraft.
• Candidate must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, structure repair manuals, understanding symbols, flags, and general notes. Identify aircraft locations by station, butt-line, and waterline as shown on engineering documentation and technical orders.

Further Information About This Opportunity: MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an interim clearance to start and have the ability to obtain a Final Secret Clearance. Must be available to work a flexible schedule as required to keep aircraft modifications on schedule. Candidate must be able to work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean, FOD-free work area. Domestic travel may be required. Physical Requirements: This position may include certain military required health screenings and immunizations. Position may also require extended work hours. Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms.
