Job Title: Environmental Services Technician (EVS)
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Schedule: Varies (Days, Evenings, Weekends as needed)
Pay: $15.00/hour

Job Summary:
The Environmental Services (EVS) Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary hospital environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This role plays a critical part in infection prevention by properly cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining all assigned areas within the facility.

Job Duties:

Clean and disinfect patient rooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas
Sanitize high-touch surfaces to prevent the spread of infection
Properly dispose of trash, linens, and biohazardous waste
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors and surfaces
Restock supplies such as paper products and cleaning materials
Follow hospital safety standards and infection control protocols
Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively
Respond to spills, urgent cleaning needs, and isolation room procedures
Communicate with staff and patients in a professional, respectful manner

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or hospital EVS experience preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and reliability
Ability to follow strict health and safety guidelines
Must be able to work weekends or flexible shifts as needed

Key Notes:

This role is essential in preventing healthcare-associated infections and maintaining patient safety
EVS staff are considered frontline support in maintaining a safe healthcare environment
Position may be consideredsafety-sensitive depending on facility policies
