Maintenance ClerkThe maintenance clerk maintains the maintenance materials stock, collaborating with vendors to negotiate pricing and place orders for supplies. Additionally, the clerk collaborates with the manager to ensure the tool crib is efficiently set up to meet the plant's needs.Shift: 1st ShiftPay: $20.00 - 26.00Procurement SupportObtains quotes or pricing for requested or stock items.Enter requisitions for requested or stock items.Submits request for purchase orders.File hard copy purchase orders and track them through completion.Obtain receipts from the stockroom, check in items, and delivers them to the manufacturing floor or stores them in the maintenance shop. Provides signed and dated packing lists to the purchasing department promptly.Contact service-only vendors as requested and provide service reports to purchasing promptly.Prepare the repair and return items for shipment using your preferred shipping method (UPS, Fed Ex, etc.) or request shipment (if LTL) as needed.Vendor RelationshipsCreate and maintain relationships with preferred and other vendors.Collaborate with vendor representatives to manage vendor-managed items.Tool Crib ManagementEvaluate maintenance and manufacturing needs to determine stocked parts and tools.Design and organize the tool crib layout, assigning and labeling inventory locations.Enter and maintain inventory records.Complete and maintain the Daily 5S Task List and Monthly 5S Audit.Develop standard work processes for tool crib operations.QualificationsBasic computer knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Access and OutlookGood customer service and phone skillsMust be able to work in a manufacturing environment.Individuals will be exposed to routine industrial hazards/safety hazards that require PPE (Minimum: Ear plugs, Safety Glasses, Safety Shoes)Additional InformationSite Address: 305 N Iris Road, Mount Pleasant, Iowa 52641Why work for Cornerstone Building Brands?Our teams are at the heart of our purpose to positively contribute to the communities where we live, work and play.
