Custodian/Maintenance

Description The Arc is currently recruiting for a Custodian as a full time evening position at Brunswick Center.
The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 3pm-11pm. Brunswick Center is not on a bus line, so your own transportation is required. Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible to Assistant Director or designee for appropriate maintenance tasks.
• Notifies Assistant Director of the need for repairs or situations needing attention at property responsible for.
• Specific tasks will include but not be limited to the following: sweeping, mopping, buffing, taking care of garbage, dusting, washing windows, and minor repairs.
• Adheres to OSHA compliance /hazardous communication standards when utilizing any chemicals.
• Follows assigned schedule to assure appropriate cleanliness of the facility.
• Communicates to Assistant Director or designee any maintenance concerns.
• Responsible for assuring that the facility is properly secured. Requirements Education and/or Experience:
Applicants must have 1 year experience in maintenance work as well as a HS Diploma/GED. Candidates must have reliable transportation to the site in Cropseyville, NY as this location is not on a bus line.
