This is a per diem position without benefits, which includes malpractice insurance and tail coverage. A valid California medical license and a paid DEA certificate are required.

The service area in San Bernardino County caters to a diverse population in the northeastern part of the LA Basin, offering a variety of topographical and cultural experiences. Residents enjoy easy access to outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing at Big Bear and Mt. Baldy, water-skiing on Lake Arrowhead, mountain biking, and apple picking in Yucaipa, as well as a short drive to the coast. The communities feature excellent schools, neighborhood parks, and affordable housing options, making it an ideal location for families. With convenient access to the cultural and recreational offerings of Los Angeles, without the associated traffic, physicians and staff can appreciate the changing seasons, including vibrant fall colors and stunning views of snow-capped mountains. The area boasts a wide range of dining, entertainment, and cultural experiences near the medical centers.

With a rich history spanning over 70 years, our San Bernardino County Service Area is recognized as the first medical center in Southern California. The culture here is built on teamwork, respect, integrity, and diversity. Located in the Inland Empire, our medical centers are known as the primary healthcare facilities in the region. Characterized by significant growth and innovation, the service area is home to over 1,000 physicians who have trained and worked across the nation, bringing youthful energy and diverse ideas. The San Bernardino County Service Area is the largest in Southern California, featuring two hospitals (in Fontana and Ontario) and more than 19 medical office buildings. We offer a comprehensive range of tertiary and specialty services, along with numerous academic opportunities. The area hosts nine residency and fellowship programs and serves as a clinical rotation site for the Bernard J. Tyson Kaiser Permanente School of Medicine, as well as for medical students and residents from nearby institutions. This breadth of services provides physicians with numerous opportunities for leadership, teaching, specialization, and social engagement. Our dedicated regional group focuses on areas such as gender dysphoria, reproductive health, transitional care for complex populations, and eating disorders. We have a strong specialty presence and align with various regional programs of interest, including pediatric pain and palliative care, offering ample opportunities for professional growth.
