Bookkeeper

Responsibilities Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance. Develops system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures. Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions. Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries. Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries. Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries. Maintains historical records by filing documents. Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Qualifications and Skills Developing Standards Analyzing Information Dealing with Complexity Reporting Research Results Data Entry Skills Accounting Attention to Detail Confidentiality Thoroughness Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field CPA is a plus Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas Organizing programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization. Developing new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization. Creating and managing long-term goals. Developing a budget and operating plan for the program. Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement. Writing program funding proposals to guarantee uninterrupted delivery of services. Managing a team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities. Ensuring goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality and team member performance. Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved. Meeting with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services. Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle. Bachelor degree or master degree in business or related field. Proven experience in program management.
