We are seeking an energetic, hands‑on Restaurant Manager who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys leading a team, and is passionate about creating high‑quality meals and memorable experiences for members and guests at the Lutheran Life Villages Independent Living campus on South Anthony Blvd. What You’ll Do As the Restaurant Manager, you will help oversee the daily operations of the restaurant while supporting a culture of teamwork, excellence, and hospitality. Responsibilities Leading day‑to‑day restaurant operations with a focus on food quality, safety, timeliness, and member satisfaction Assisting with cooking, meal preparation, and service as needed Preparing fresh foods using standardized recipes, including scratch‑made items Monitoring staffing schedules and adjusting staffing levels to support smooth operations Training, mentoring, and cross‑training team members using established onboarding programs and organizational values Coaching staff to ensure accountability for cleaning, sanitation, and job responsibilities Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and ensuring compliance with Indiana State Board of Health standards Supporting inventory management and supply monitoring Attending food committee meetings and collaborating closely with leadership Creating a positive, team‑focused environment that reflects LLV’s mission and values What We’re Looking For Passionate about food service and hospitality A strong communicator and team leader Organized, dependable, and detail‑oriented Comfortable working in a hands‑on leadership role Flexible to work AM/PM shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed Qualifications ServSafe Certification required (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire) Certified Dietary Manager and/or Certified Food Protection certification preferred 3–4 years of food service experience preferred 2 years of supervisory experience preferred Benefits Medical, Dental and Vision insurances Generous PTO accruals Paid holidays 403(b) retirement savings plan with company match Education assistance Frequent campus events Lutheran Life Villages is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer (EEO) that does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, age, gender, or any status protected by federal, state, or local laws.
