You will spend the majority of your time behind the wheel, running local routes and delivering HVAC and refrigeration supplies to the contractors and technicians who depend on us every day. You are home every night. There are no over-the-road assignments.On days when your route is complete or volume is lighter, you will contribute in the warehouse. That is not the core of this job, but it is part of it, and we want to be upfront about that. When you are on the floor, you are expected to work with the same professionalism and attention to detail you bring on the road.We are Florida's largest independent, family-owned HVAC and refrigeration distributor, operating across 23 locations for more than 50 years. We take care of our drivers, and we expect them to take care of our customers and our operation in return.What You Will DoOn the road, where you will spend most of your time:You operate Tropic Supply trucks and vans on established local routes, delivering HVAC and refrigeration supplies efficiently and professionally. You perform thorough pre-trip inspections, maintain accurate delivery documentation and receipt handling, load and unload cargo safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed, and inspect all items for damage before and after transport. You represent Tropic Supply at every delivery point, and how you show up on a customer's job site is a direct reflection of this company.Hazmat endorsement is required. You will transport hazardous materials and are expected to follow all applicable DOT and company safety regulations without exception.In the warehouse, when you are not on the road:You contribute where the operation needs you. That includes pulling and filling orders, receiving and stocking inventory, operating warehouse equipment, and supporting the team on the floor. This is not your primary role, but when you are here, you are fully here.What You Must BringDriving requirements, non-negotiable:Must be 25 years of age or olderValid CDL Class B license with Hazmat endorsementValid medical certificate and active Clearinghouse registrationMinimum one year of verifiable CDL driving experience within the last three years, or two years within the last five yearsClean and acceptable motor vehicle recordAbility to read, write, and communicate in English for safety compliance, documentation, and customer interactionAdditional requirements:Comfort contributing in a warehouse and distribution environment on non-driving daysSit-down forklift and pallet jack experience preferredAbility to lift up to 75 pounds consistently and sustain physical activity throughout a shiftStrong attention to detail with a track record of delivery and documentation accuracyWho Fits This RoleYou are a professional driver first.
