Life Insurance Specialist - Palm Harbor, FL

Employ thorough knowledge of product features and marketing & sales techniques to achieve established sales goals. Develop leads and prospects for new accounts through outbound/inbound phone calls, mailings, referrals, networking, website, seminars, and other marketing activities. Prepare proposals and close sales of Life, Health, Annuity, Membership, and Financial Services products. Complete appropriate applications, forms, and follow internal processing procedures to ensure transactions are handled in accordance with company policies and practices. Collaborate with branch colleagues to reach business goals, maximize leads, and take advantage of cross‑sell opportunities. Assist Underwriting and Brokerage Departments in satisfying requirements. Respond to customer inquiries and problems and ensure sound sales practices are used. Prepare reports documenting prospecting and sales activities, maintain specified production standards, and sustain persistency levels for all required products. Maintain regular and reliable attendance required for the functioning of this role. Required Licenses & Credentials Possession of a valid State Life Sales license. Ability to take and pass LUTC or CLU coursework. Maintenance of all Life and Health licenses required to sell products. Valid State driver’s license and qualification to obtain all applicable state licenses and appointments for selling and/or servicing Auto Club Group Membership products. Education and Experience High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of proven experience selling life insurance products; experience selling intangible products. Core Competencies Strong working knowledge of Life Insurance and Annuity products and services. Ability to listen to and analyze customer needs, recommend appropriate products, and promote a positive member experience. Effective communication of complex information in a clear manner. Preparation of proposals and conduct of closing interviews. Assessment and reflection of customer insurance requirements consistent with company standards. Mathematical calculation skills to determine premiums and values of Life insurance and financial products. Relationship building and maintenance with customers, prospects, and branch partners. Prospecting and developing new sales opportunities and meeting production requirements. Strong organizational, planning, time‑management, and administrative skills. Professional and positive representation of Auto Club Life. Safe operation of a motor vehicle for travel to various locations. Proficient computer skills: word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and email. Independent work capability with minimal supervision. Work Environment Temperature‑controlled office environment. Limited travel required for community events; exposure to road hazards and temperature extremes.
