Cashier Position at DQWe are looking for a hard working Cashier to join our DQ Team! Must be 16 years old! We would love for you to join us here at your locally owned DQ! We will train you how to make all your favorite DQ Treats!To our guests, Dairy Queen is more than just a place to eat – it's a place to have fun, spend some time with friends and experience great food.To our team members, Dairy Queen is a family.Cashiers are the first point of contact for our guests and are directly responsible for delivering a great experience. You will take and enter orders, handle payments, keep the dining room and other guest areas clean, and provide excellent service to our guests by following standard operating procedures with a sense of urgency.We are seeking respectful, polite crew members who are ready to serve our community with a smile.Capabilities Requirement:Sit, stand, and walk continuouslyOccasionally stoop, bend, crouch, or climb, including the use of laddersFrequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds, including lifting overheadContinuous use of hands and wrists for grasping and fine manipulationCommunicate proficiently through speech, reading, and writingMaintain effective audio-visual perception and judgement to observe and respond to the environmentWork in an environment that features hot and cold temperature variations and exposure to food allergensOperate and work safely with restaurant equipment including, but not limited to, knives, fryers, and potentially hazardous equipmentResponsibilities:Dairy Queen Front of House Development PlanHands-on stations trainingProvide friendly, enthusiastic service for all guestsPromptly greet guests as they enter and thank them as they leaveMaintain awareness of current promotionsExplain menu items, answer questions, and suggest additional itemsEnthusiastically represent the Dairy Queen brandAccurately complete orders and guest transactionsEnter guest orders accurately into the point of sale systemAccept payments, operate cash registers, and maintain receiptsHandle cash payments, count and verify tills, and record totals appropriatelyMaintain a clean, safe, welcoming environmentClean and maintain guest areas including dining room, counters, bathrooms, and building exteriorMaintain equipment and inform management of maintenance needsStock paper goods, condiments, silverware, and beveragesKeep work areas clean and organizedAccurately complete, package, and present guest ordersOther work assignedBenefits:Flexible HoursEmployee Discount
