Relocation package offered We care about your well-being, both physical and mental, which is why our benefit package includes: Personalized health insurance plans including dental and vision Long- and short-term leave Retirement planning Life insurance coverage Under the supervision of the Neurodiagnostic Services Director and under general direction of the medical director (MD), performs standard and complex polysomnographic recordings and multiple sleep latency testing; scores and documents data, assesses, applies and titrates CPAP or Bi-Level. Collect, analyze and integrate patient information to identify and meet the patient-specific needs, and to determine final testing parameters/procedures in conjunction with the ordering physician or clinical director and laboratory protocols. Explain pre-testing and post-testing procedures to the patient. Testing Preparation Procedures Prepare and calibrate equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning and adjust if necessary. to ensure collection of appropriate data. Follow “lights out” procedures to establish and document baseline values (such as body position, oxyhemoglobin saturation, respiratory and heart rates, etc.) Perform polysomnographic data acquisition while monitoring study-tracing quality to ensure signals are artifact-free and adjust, if necessary. Document routine observations including sleep stages and clinical events, changes in procedure, and significant events to facilitate scoring and interpretation of polysomnographic results. Implement appropriate interventions (including actions necessary for patient safety and therapeutic intervention such as continuous and bi-level positive airway pressure, oxygen administration, etc.). Follow “lights on” procedures to verify integrity of collected data and complete the data collection process (repeats the physiological and instrument calibrations and instructs the patient on completing questionnaires, etc.) Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide age-specific care in the treatment, assessment, and education of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient. Score clinical events (such as respiratory events, cardiac events, limb movements, arousals etc.) Generate accurate reports by tabulating sleep/wake and clinical event data. High school diploma or GED required. A degree from higher level education degree that requires a high school diploma or GED as a pre-requisite is also permitted. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Non-registered technicians must be enrolled in or completed the A-STEP Online Self Study Modules or CAAHEP accredited sleep technology. Must participate in an average of 10 hours per year of CEC sleep related education activities over a 3-year period.
