divh2Interventional Procedure Assistant/h2pPerforms scrub and circulating duties during interventional procedures according to USV/FMS policies and procedures. Assists with preparation of procedure room, inventory of supplies and stocking of supplies in the procedure room and stock room./ph3Principal Duties And Responsibilities/h3ulliAssists with the maintenance and setting up of the procedure room in compliance with FMCNA/USV policies and procedures and state and federal regulations./liliStocks procedure room and procedure trays with all needed supplies and interventional equipment prior to procedure./liliCleans the procedure room including the equipment and machinery post procedure./liliMay assist with preparing the patient for the surgical procedure by positioning, shaving and prepping./liliPrepares and administers medications within the scope of practice and state regulations./liliPerforms patient transfers and positioning of patients and transports patient to and from procedure room./liliActs as scrub assistant assisting the physician during interventional procedures under fluoroscopy; maintaining a sterile technique according to the established company policies and procedures and state and federal regulations./liliDraws up intravenous medication and labels as per Medication Labeling Policy, and Medication in the Sterile Field Competency./liliPerforms circulating duties in the procedure room./liliComplies with HIPAA policies and standards in regards to patient confidentiality./liliAssists with maintaining environmental integrity and aesthetics. Ensures all areas are clean, sanitary and safe on a daily basis Ensures all facility equipment and instruments are in proper working condition by inspecting equipment on a daily basis before and after procedures./liliMay perform minor equipment repairs and general upkeep. Communicates problems to supervisor and documents issues in the communications log./liliMay assist with instrument sterilization and packaging of surgical instruments./liliAssists with preparing, organizing, and efficiently utilizing supplies and equipment to prevent wastage./liliProvides outstanding quality of patient care by supporting and driving USV quality standards through meeting regulatory requirements and the practice of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), including use of USV/FMS CQI tools./liliAssists with implementing USV quality goals and facility specific action plans in order to achieve USV quality standards./liliMaintains integrity of medical records and other USV administrative and operational records./liliProvides clerical and practical support to physicians and staff:/liliWorks with the physicians and staff to have all necessary instruments and equipment are on hand./liliMay print images and send to the physician./liliMay assist with training and orienting new employees on the medical equipment./liliFiles paperwork in patient files according to policies and procedures./liliAssists with inventory, ordering of supplies and re-stocking of supplies./liliMay process x-ray images after acquisitions./liliMay archive patient images to comply with USV policies and procedures for patient medical records and state regulations./liliParticipates in all facility regulatory and accreditation surveys and action plans to address any deficiencies identified./liliResponsible for assisting the territory with marketing, educating, promoting and selling Fresenius Vascular Care services to dialysis clinics, Medical Directors, nephrologists and other pertinent members of the medical community in an assigned territory. They work closely with Sales Management team and Clinical Specialist./liliProvides sales and relationship support to an assigned FVC territory or territories working in conjunction with the FVC Sales Management team / Clinical Specialist, or Regional Director of Sales identifying new accounts for Fresenius Vascular Care services to generate revenue./liliEstablish and maintain a close relationship with current user accounts/customers, and researches the local physician market to identify potential candidates/customers for FVC services making the necessary sales calls to these potential customers under the direction of the Regional Director of Sales Marketing to grow the number of patient procedures performed at the FVC ambulatory centers./liliMaintains knowledge of the vascular care business and services programs provided by FVC as well as the competitors in the local market/liliActs as the customer relations contact and liaison between the dialysis clinics, specialty clinics and the FVC Center/liliOccasional evening and weekend hours may be required/liliReview and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations./liliAssist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor. Must be able to stand in a protective apron for up to 45-60 minutes./liliSignificant travel (up to 50%) within the assigned geography/region may be necessary./li/ulh3Education/h3ulliHigh School Diploma required/liliSurgical Technologist Certification, preferred./li/ulh3Experience And Required Skills/h3ulli1 - 2 years related experience./liliPrevious patient care experience preferred./liliWorking knowledge of interventional equipment (including C-Arm and Ultrasound equipment), procedures and materials/supplies needed for each procedure.
