Financial Reporting Manager

Job Description

A leading global, publicly traded manufacturing company is seeking a Manager, Financial Reporting to join its Corporate Controllership team. This is a highly visible opportunity reporting to the Director of Financial Reporting & Consolidations, with responsibility for leading financial reporting activities, managing a small team, and partnering closely with senior leadership across the organization.

The role offers significant exposure to SEC reporting, technical accounting, Investor Relations, external auditors, and enterprise-wide finance transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n

\n
• Lead the preparation, review, and filing of 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings
\n
• Oversee the preparation and audit of 11-K and U.S. Pension Plan financial statements
\n
• Monitor SEC reporting and disclosure requirements and perform industry benchmarking
\n
• Partner with Investor Relations on quarterly earnings materials, investor presentations, and supplemental reporting
\n
• Serve as a subject matter expert on technical accounting matters, including share-based compensation, EPS, debt, hedge accounting, and other complex topics
\n
• Research and interpret accounting guidance and prepare technical accounting memos and policies
\n
• Lead implementation of new accounting standards, SEC requirements, disclosures, and related training
\n
• Maintain and enhance the corporate accounting policy manual
\n
• Manage and provide oversight to an offshore Lease Center of Excellence (COE)
\n
• Partner with external auditors throughout the annual audit and financial reporting cycle
\n
• Lead process improvement, automation, and financial reporting transformation initiatives
\n
• Review XBRL exhibits and support ad hoc accounting and reporting projects
\n
• Lead, mentor, and develop two direct reports, including performance management and career development

Qualifications

\n

\n

\n
• 6+ years of progressive financial reporting or accounting experience
\n
• Active CPA required
\n
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
\n
• Public accounting and public-company industry experience strongly preferred
\n
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
\n
• Strong project management and organizational abilities
\n
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing accounting professionals
\n
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight reporting deadlines
\n
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
\n
• Ability to effectively partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
\n
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to learn and leverage new financial systems and technology
\n
• Workiva and/or OneStream experience preferred
