Registered Nurse (RN) - Full-Time Over Night (Shift Charge Nurse) Eventide Heartland Care Center is seeking an RN Charge Nurse to work the full‑time overnight shift (6:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.) with an every other weekend and holiday rotation. The position includes overtime constraints with a $5 per hour overnight differential and an additional $2 per hour weekend differential added to the base wage. Location: 620 14th Ave NE, Devils Lake, ND 58301, USA. Posted: April 23, 2026. Full‑time. Compensation: $36.00 – $40.32 per hour, depending on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are also available. Must have an active North Dakota RN license or be able to obtain upon hire. Experience in long‑term care preferred, but not required. Assess residents’ needs and health status through physical assessments, observations, and interviews on a continuing basis. Provide individual attention to encourage each resident’s physical, mental, and psychosocial well‑being. Observe and follow residents’ plans of care, updating and making appropriate changes when necessary. Administer medications and treatments and monitor both for effectiveness. Provide direct nursing care to residents whenever necessary and in accordance with established policies and standards. Comply with rules and regulations set by the Minnesota or North Dakota Department of Health and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Document accurately in the residents’ electronic medical record per established protocols. Assist in orientation and training of new nursing team members. Report resident needs, problems, and observations to the Charge Nurse and/or attending physician. Ensure adequate staffing levels for the shift and correct inadequate staffing appropriately. Monitor the activities and functions of subordinate staff, including participation in the disciplinary process. Ensure that work responsibilities of subordinate staff are completed thoroughly and accurately within scheduled shifts. Provide information, education, and support for assigned residents and their families. Communicate the needs of residents to care staff in the unit as appropriate. Interact with physicians and other health care facilities as needed, according to the residents’ needs. Continuously update nursing skills and knowledge by attending in‑services, continuing education programs, and staff meetings. Coordinate and participate in resident care conferences and communicate information effectively to families. Assume responsibility for prompt reporting of any incidents or evidence of abuse, neglect, or violation of residents’ rights per policy.
