Sonographer I PD

Qualifications All job qualifications listed indicate the minimum level necessary to perform this job proficiently. Level of Education (Preferred) Graduate from a two (2) year Allied Health Ultrasound Program, accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of AlliedHealth Education Programs (CAAHEP) and one (1) year of full-time, supervised scanning as a student sonographer, in a hospital setting. Certifications, Licenses, Registrations (Preferred) RDMS or RVT eligible. Obtains either RDMS or RVT registry within one (1) year of hire. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS). Technical Requirements (Minimum) General, OB/GYN, and Small Parts experience. Technical Requirements (Preferred) General, OB/GYN, Small Part, and procedure assistance experience. Vascular ultrasound experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of possible procedure complications and the ability to respond appropriately. Able to prioritize exams utilizing established department protocols. Strong interpersonal skills that reflect a positive attitude and a sense of commitment to patients, work associates, and community. The employee communicates effectively. Able to communicate effectively and professionally with patients, physicians and fellow employees, orally and in writing, pursuant to the CH English Proficiency and Usage Policy.
