Analyzes sonograms, synthesizes sonographic information and medical history, and communicates findings to the appropriate physician. Has a full knowledge of the equipment utilized for diagnostic Ultrasound as well as software and computer systems used to maintain patient information and diagnostic images (PACS). REQUIREMENTS: Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program required. Associate's degree preferred. Current overview and knowledge of operations within a hospital or outpatient Ultrasound Department. Solid foundation of knowledge regarding all diagnostic medical ultrasound systems and exams. RDMS-Sonographer, American heart Association CPR Healthcare Provider Certification, RVT-Registered Vascular Tech preferred.
