CONTINGENCY OPERATIONS PLAN & POLICY MANAGER

DutiesYou will provide direct support to the J35 and J3 in all matters regarding the coordination and execution of policy implementation and operational planning related to USINDOPACOM Contingency Response missions and responsibilities.You will be responsible for conducting Deliberate Planning as well as Crisis Action Planning as requiredYou will provide a wide range of command, support, and coordination relationships that cross military, foreign partners, and local and federal governmental agencies contingency response efforts.You will conduct daily high level coordination with equivalent and higher ranking civilian and uniform staffers at OSD, JS, GCC, and FCC through periodic travel for face to face meetings, Secure Video teleconference (SVTC), Tandberg, and SIPR email.You will develop and interpret policies, procedures and strategies governing joint military operations.You will make recommendations that significantly influence policies and programs.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentMust be a US Citizen.Must be determined suitable for federal employment.Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following;

1. Producing high level written products (Info Papers, Operations Orders, etc.) for senior officials/leadership decision making within time constrained environments;
2. Utilizing knowledge of previous high level policy/strategy and operational planning experience;
3. Leading and managing policy implementation and operational planning related to Contingency Response missions and responsibilities.
4. Applying knowledge of tactical -operational- strategic plans and the military operational art with a focus on a diverse portfolio that includes Foreign Humanitarian Assistance (FHA), Defense Support to Civil Authorities (DSCA), Pandemic Emerging Infectious Disease Response, Non-Combatant Evacuation Operations (NEO), Homeland Defense, Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD), Counter-Terrorism (CT) and Counter Violent Extremist Organization (CVEO) operations.
