AmeriStaff is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician in the Roxboro, NC area for a direct hire opportunity with a manufacturing client. This position works a 12-hour rotating schedule on a 2/2/3 shift rotation. The ideal candidate will have experience maintaining and repairing industrial machinery in a heavy manufacturing environment.

- Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install plant machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform welding and fabrication work using blueprints and drawings.
- Perform preventative maintenance duties and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Install and align motors, couplings, and bearings.
- Perform precision alignment and laser alignment on pumps, motors, and gearboxes.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Rebuild cylinders and valves as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Follow all company safety rules and regulations.
- Work scheduled and on-call overtime as needed.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and precision alignment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience working with large industrial machinery preferred.
- Technical school or equivalent mechanical experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of industrial safety procedures.
- Ability to climb, bend, stoop, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at substantial heights.
- Ability to work with oils, greases, solvents, and cleaning solutions.
- Ability to use cranes, forklifts, ladders, welding equipment, and hand tools.
- Industrial mill/manufacturing environment subject to weather extremes.
