About the Role:

Clarendon Before And After School Care is looking for an experienced and motivated Childcare Teacher to join our team in San Francisco, CA! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children by creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment before and after school hours.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and engage children in structured and unstructured activities during before and after school programs
• Plan and implement age-appropriate educational and recreational activities
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child progress and daily updates
• Support children with homework assistance and academic enrichment
• Maintain accurate attendance records and follow safety protocols
• Collaborate with fellow staff to ensure smooth daily program operations

Requirements:

• Previous experience in childcare, early childhood education, or a school-age program preferred
• Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate activities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and staff
• Ability to maintain a patient, positive, and encouraging demeanor
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Must pass required background checks per California state regulations
• High school diploma or equivalent required; AA or degree in Child Development a plus
