Store Manager FT- Various Locations Regular Full Time Management Jacksonville, FL, US 21 days ago Requisition ID: 4324 Salary Range: $60,000.00 To $90,000.00 Annually Various Locations Job Title Store Manager Department Retail Reporting to Regional Manager Job Summary Responsible for meeting established revenue goals and monitoring budgeted expenses. Manage the processing of donated goods and work with assistant managers to ensure staff is trained and that good customer/donor relations are maintained by setting high standards of customer service. Minimum Qualifications Education: High School or GED preferred. Experience: Minimum of 2 years prior retail management preferred. Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: None Other: Excellent oral and written communication skills; Must have excellent customer service skills; Must be able to promote and ultimately be responsible for workplace safety; Able to handle customer/donor/employee relations; Proficiency with POS reporting procedures; Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license; Energy and enthusiasm to help others; An openness to learn and be a team player; An excitement for a career in retail; Must be able to read and comprehend; Must be able to do basic math calculations using a calculator; Able to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds; Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays; Must be able to use a computer/iPad and have basic knowledge of Office programs; Must be able to use basic office equipment such as telephone, cash register, and fax. Job Duties 50% of Time: Management Duties Supervises and is the primary authority concerning processing of donated materials in a timely manner following the production system, including supervision, staffing, and management of remote Donation Centers. Contributes toward store profitability by seeking opportunities to increase sales, manage inventory and labor costs. Responsible for store revenue goals and budgeted expenses. Maintains daily and weekly reports. Ensures the accuracy of all cash handling and cash register functions. Ensures proper accounting for all store revenue. Maintains final accountability for store operations. Ensures the proper types and amounts of supplies are ordered and stocked. Trains and develops management team. Expects and encourages full participation of management team in accomplishing store goals. Schedules daily and weekly staffing requirements. Resolves employee complaints and concerns, provides ongoing performance feedback, conducts formal performance appraisals and counsels employees when necessary. Administers disciplinary actions under general auspices of the Human Resources department and in coordination with the regional manager. Ensures all company policies, store standards and procedures are communicated effectively to staff and maintained and followed in a consistent manner. Organizes work throughout the store in a manner that facilitates efficient customer service and profitable operation. Ensures store appearance is properly maintained. Ensures compliance with all store policy and procedures as outlined in the Store Manual, the Employee Handbook, and the Worker’s Compensation manual. Ensures good customer/donor relations by maintaining high standards of customer service as outlined by the customer service manual. Trains and develops staff in all aspects of their responsibilities, including adherence to all safety and company protocols and procedures promote a safe, productive work environment. Coordinates communication with the transportation department for all merchandise pickup and delivery. Where appropriate applies the same standards, policies and procedures to the Donation Center. Opens store on time and closes in a timely manner. 20% of Time: Front of Store Duties Processes customer transactions by ringing the sale on a cash register, collecting payment, making change, bagging the merchandise and thanking the customer. Assists customers with shopping needs. Pulls racks for transporting clothing from the back room to the sales floor and places clothes on sales floor racks, ensuring that clothes are placed on sales racks with similar types and colors of clothing. Rearranges clothing on racks and items on shelves, removes items from the floor, dusts and pulls clothes from racks that are too full to ensure that the sales floor is kept clean, neat and properly displayed. Greets donors and receives merchandise, providing donor with an itemized receipt if desired. Reports known or suspected security and/or theft problems to the Store Manager or other member of management. 20% of Time: Back of Store Duties May remove donations from the donor's car. Breaks down donation into appropriate bins of like merchandise. Examines shoes, electrical, and mechanical merchandise and other non-clothing items to determine appropriateness for sales floor, in accordance with established standards. Places sellable clothing on hangers to meet established quotas. Hangs clothing on racks for transporting to the sales floor, keeping similar types of clothing grouped together. Counts and records pieces of clothing hung. Places un-sellable clothing in appropriate bins. Other duties as assigned. Must be willing to travel to other stores on an as-needed basis.
