Per Diem Rn/Lpn For Mat Program

CPS is seeking per diem RN's and LPN's for our MAT program to oversee healthcare delivery at the Bristol County Jail. Correctional nurses are part of a multi-disciplinary team providing medical and mental health treatment. Correctional nursing provides opportunities to develop a broad spectrum of nursing skills providing treatment in the areas of emergency medicine, chronic disease, detoxification, mental illness and prenatal care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care and treatment to inmates as part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.
• Deliver medical and mental health services, including emergency care, chronic disease management, detoxification, and prenatal care.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and progress.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with healthcare protocols and facility policies.
• Collaborate with medical, mental health, and correctional staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in developing individualized treatment plans and care strategies for patients.
• Maintain compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations related to healthcare delivery.
• Educate patients on health management, disease prevention, and wellness practices.

Schedule:

• Per diem RN/LPN needed to work every other Saturday and Sunday, from 5:00 a.m.1:30 p.m., with additional shifts as needed to provide coverage for vacations and other staffing needs

Rate:

RN Hourly Rate: $45.00 per hour + shift differentials

LPN Hourly Rate: $40.00 per hour + shift differentials

Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience:

• Graduate from a national or state approved school of vocational nursing.
• Currently licensed to practice as an RN or LPN in the state of Massachusetts.
• Demonstrate the knowledge and ability to apply principles of nursing care.
• Recognition of signs and symptoms of mental illness, emotional disturbance, or chemical dependency.
• Holds current CPR certification.

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly required to stand; sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move over 35 pounds.
• Regularly able to adequately perform CPR.
