Baptist Health Medical Group (BHMG), part of Baptist Health South Florida (BHSF), the largest healthcare organization in the South Florida region with medical practices spanning from Key West to Palm Beach, is seeking to employ an Outpatient Psychiatrist to join its well-established program at the Marcus Neuroscience Institute, part of Baptist Health Brain & Spine Care. The incoming provider, who will report to the Medical Director, will join a large and well-supported team of 31 interdisciplinary physicians and 20 advanced practice providers caring for patients in seven locations across Broward and Palm Beach counties. Responsibilities Evaluating patients for psychiatric symptoms and diagnosis, pharmacological management, consultations with medical teams and caregivers to provide insights on patients’ psychiatric conditions and potential impact on physical health and treatment plans, and providing short-term therapy and crisis intervention for patients with acute psychiatric symptoms. Opportunity involves both hospital and clinic setting, requires on-call coverage for clinic patients, and one weekend per month in hospital rounds, required.
