Associate Attorney - Employment and Commercial Litigation

Job Overview A law firm seeks an attorney with at least 3 years of civil litigation experience to join their Hermosa Beach, California office. The ideal candidate will have experience in employment, business/commercial litigation, professional liability, premises liability, and/or directors and officers defense. This role offers the opportunity to handle a wide range of civil litigation matters involving sophisticated clients. Duties Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other documents. Take and defend depositions, and draft and answer discovery requests. Prepare for trials and assist during trial proceedings. Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. Travel locally for court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, site inspections, and depositions. Requirements 3+ years of experience in civil litigation, preferably in employment or commercial litigation. Experience with both state and federal courts preferred. Admission to the state bar of California required. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Admission to the state bar of California.
