USNH Employees should apply within Workday through the Jobs Hub appThe Student Program Manager, Lonza Scholars Program (Adjunct), coordinates, implements, and manages the UNH–Lonza Scholars Mentorship Program, a multi-year, externally funded initiative designed to provide mentorship, experiential learning, and workforce development opportunities for students pursuing careers in the life sciences. The position plays a central role in ensuring a high-quality experience for student participants and Lonza mentors while supporting program outcomes related to student development and career readiness.This role operates within the Center for Career and Professional Success and is responsible for managing core program functions, including student–mentor matching, engagement, communication, and program tracking. The position requires strong project management, relationship management, and student support skills to effectively coordinate stakeholders and sustain program success.Duties/ResponsibilitiesProgram Coordination & Implementation (40%)Coordinate and implement all aspects of the Lonza Scholars Mentorship Program (supporting up to 16 student scholars annually)Develop and manage program timelines, activities, and deliverablesEnsure a consistent and high-quality experience across all program componentsStudent & Mentor Engagement (30%)Match students with Lonza mentors and facilitate ongoing engagementServe as the primary point of contact for students and mentorsManage communication and relationships with Lonza mentors and stakeholdersStudent Support & Development (20%)Provide individualized support to student participantsSupport students in translating mentorship experiences into academic and career outcomesReinforce student learning, reflection, and professional growth through the programProgram Tracking, Assessment & Improvement (10%)Track participation, engagement, and overall program progressSupport program assessment and continuous improvement effortsMaintain program documentation and reporting as neededRequirementsMinimum Acceptable Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years of relevant professional experience in program coordination, student services, career services, or a related fieldEquivalent combination of education and experience may be consideredKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong project management and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities simultaneouslyExcellent interpersonal and relationship management skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively with students, faculty/staff, and external partnersAbility to provide student-centered support and guidanceAttention to detail and ability to track and manage program dataAbility to work independently and take initiative in a dynamic environmentPreferred Qualifications:Experience working in higher education, career services, or experiential learning programsExperience managing mentorship, internship, or workforce development programsFamiliarity with employer engagement or partnership developmentExperience supporting student career readiness and professional developmentApplicant Instructions:Applicants should be prepared to upload the following documents when applying online within the My Experience: Resume/CV section of the application: (Maximum of 5 Documents)Resume/CVCompensation Pay Range:$20/hrThe University of New Hampshire is an R1 Carnegie classification research institution providing comprehensive, high-quality undergraduate and graduate programs of distinction.
