Maintenance Supervisor - 2nd shift

Our client is seeking a hands‑on and driven 2nd shift Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring equipment reliability, product quality, and operational efficiency across the facility. You’ll oversee a skilled maintenance team, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and help build a culture rooted in safety, accountability, and performance. What You’ll Be Responsible For Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians and leads to achieve operational excellence Oversee daily maintenance activities, including scheduling, workload prioritization, and performance management Ensure compliance with safety standards, GMPs, and environmental regulations Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and operational issues to minimize downtime Review production and maintenance reports to identify trends and implement improvements Maintain and promote a 5S and continuous improvement culture Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training of maintenance personnel Collaborate cross‑functionally with production, quality, and leadership teams Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions when necessary Ensure accurate tracking of maintenance activities and labor through systems such as EAM/SAP Projects You’ll Work On Improving preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime Enhancing equipment reliability across high‑speed production lines Supporting capital improvement and equipment upgrade initiatives Driving safety initiatives, including OSHA compliance and Arc Flash (NFPA 70E) programs Optimizing maintenance planning and scheduling processes using EAM/SAP systems What Experience You Should Bring 3–5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment Strong background in electrical systems (up to 480V), motor controls, and troubleshooting Experience with PLC troubleshooting (programming exposure preferred) Familiarity with power transmission systems, pneumatics, and blueprint/ladder logic reading Working knowledge of food production processes or similar regulated environments Experience with maintenance management systems (EAM, SAP) Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and industrial safety standards Proven leadership ability with strong communication and conflict resolution skills Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make sound decisions in a fast‑paced environment What Sets You Apart Experience in high‑speed or food manufacturing environments Exposure to gas‑fired ovens, safety circuits, and combustion systems Strong organizational and prioritization skills across multiple competing demands A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and team development Work Environment & Physical Requirements This role operates in a manufacturing setting with exposure to moving equipment, varying temperatures, and moderate noise levels.
