Certifications: National Board of Surgical Technologists or Association of Surgical Technologists certified preferred

Must-Have: CPR or Basic Life Support certification preferred

Description: Located off the beautiful Oregon Coast, this position involves facilitating a physician's performance of invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures. You will handle the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgical procedures. The role ensures quality patient care during the operative procedure and requires constant monitoring of the sterile field. Essential functions include verifying surgery with consent forms and bringing the patient to the assigned operating room. You will pass instruments to the surgeon during procedures and anticipate the surgeon's needs for additional supplies. Perform appropriate counts with the circulator prior to the operation and before incision closure. Prepare sterile dressings and secure them after incision closure. Check supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures. Obtain appropriate sterile and unsterile items needed for procedures. Set up a sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedures. Help drape the sterile field and clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization. Assist other team members with cleaning the room for turnover and in prepping the room for the next patient. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. This role requires participation in regular on-call rotations. Schedule requirements include being on call 1 night a week and 1 weekend a month. Shifts consist of 4 days, 9 hours each, totaling 36 hours a week. All associates must receive required vaccinations as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions applicable.
