Role Description This full-time, Night shift Respiratory Therapist role is based in Bolingbrook, IL. The Respiratory Therapist provides diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care, including administering oxygen and aerosol therapies, managing ventilators, and performing arterial blood gas sampling and analysis. Daily responsibilities include assessing patients, developing and implementing care plans, monitoring responses to treatment, and documenting all interventions according to hospital protocols. The role involves collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, supporting cardiopulmonary resuscitation efforts, and providing respiratory care across age groups, including neonatal and adult patients. The Respiratory Therapist also educates patients and families on respiratory conditions, equipment use, and self-care techniques, while adhering to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards. Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in Respiratory Therapy and Respiratory Care, including assessment, treatment, and patient education. Strong understanding of Cardiopulmonary principles and Medicine as they relate to respiratory conditions and critical care. Experience or training in Neonatal Intensive Care settings, including care of infants requiring specialized respiratory support. Relevant clinical licensure and certifications (e.g., state Respiratory Care Practitioner license, RRT/CRT credential from NBRC). Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred. Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams, communicate clearly with patients and colleagues, and maintain accurate documentation. Comfort with respiratory equipment and technology, including ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, and monitoring devices. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field from an accredited program. #J-18808-Ljbffr
