Job Summary

A Home Health Aide (HHA) provides compassionate, hands-on care to individuals in their homes or residential settings. The HHA supports clients with daily living activities, promotes independence, and ensures a safe and comfortable environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Provide mobility support, including transferring and ambulation
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding if needed
• Perform light housekeeping (laundry, cleaning, organizing)
• Monitor and report changes in client condition to supervisor or nurse
• Remind clients to take medications (as permitted by state guidelines)
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
• Follow care plans and agency policies

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid HHA certification (if required by state)
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred
• Previous caregiving experience is a plus
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
