The Field Safety Manager I is an entry-level, field-based safety professional role supporting large-scale electrical infrastructure and energy construction projects. This is a travel-based, onsite field position and is not location specific. Candidates must be open to travel and supporting projects across multiple regions as needed. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career safety professionals who are eager to grow within the electrical utility industry. Projects may include high voltage transmission lines, substations, distribution systems, HVDC converter stations, and renewable energy facilities. The Field Safety Manager I works under the guidance of senior safety leadership to support implementation of project safety programs, field audits, training initiatives, and regulatory compliance efforts while developing hands-on experience in electrical construction environments. Key Responsibilities Support field execution of project safety management programs Assist in implementation and maintenance of Site-Specific Safety Plans Participate in daily tailboard meetings and safety briefings Conduct routine field observations and safety audits under supervision Assist with reviewing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and work plans Help communicate job site hazards and corrective actions to project personnel Support incident investigations, documentation, and root cause analysis Maintain safety documentation including training logs, inspection reports, and compliance records Verify completion of project EHS orientation training prior to site access Promote a proactive safety culture through field engagement and positive reinforcement Assist with emergency response planning and coordination as required Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred 0–2 years of experience in construction or industrial safety OSHA 30-hour certification (or ability to obtain shortly after hire) Strong interest in electrical utility construction including transmission, substations, distribution, HVDC, and renewable energy projects Strong communication and organizational skills Willingness to travel and work in active construction environments Valid driver’s license Preferred Qualifications Internship or co-op experience in construction or safety First Aid/CPR Certification Basic understanding of OSHA standards and construction safety regulations Compensation and Benefits Hourly pay range: $40–$50 per hour depending on experience Position qualifies for overtime pay GSA rate per diem provided when applicable Company truck provided 401(k) plan offered Medical benefits stipend paid #J-18808-Ljbffr Onsite Solutions Group
