Location: Lake Charles, LA

Pay: $1,636.80 per week

Shifts: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday

This role involves a dynamic work environment where you'll assist in various surgical specialties including neurosurgery, orthopedics, general surgery, podiatry, and urology.

Key Responsibilities of the Certified Surgical Technician

Prepare and maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures
Assist surgeons by passing instruments and sutures
Transport and position patients for surgery
Maintain aseptic techniques and monitor for breaches
Identify and care for biological specimens
Set up operating rooms with necessary instruments and supplies
Demonstrate competence in surgical supplies and equipment
Adapt care methods to meet developmental needs of patients

Requirements of the Certified Surgical Technician

High School Diploma or equivalent
Completion of a Surgical Technology program or accredited LVN/LPN program
BLS certification required
Certified Surgical Technologist or LVN/LPN License required
Minimum 2 years of experience in neurosurgery, orthopedics, general surgery, podiatry, and urology
