King Soopers Grocery Store Position

Essential Job Functions:

1. Maintain an awareness of inventory/stocking conditions to capture ordering system integrity including Computer Assisted Ordering and balance on hand (BOH) accuracy
2. Check condition, accuracy of quantity, pricing, and temperature of product received
3. Process damaged/returned goods and complete/process paperwork
4. Assist with markdowns and 5S process(sort, straighten, shine, standardize and sustain) of markdown locations
5. Ensure inventory management for all delivered product
6. Manage Direct Store Delivery (DSD) ad plan, inventory and ad space on sales floor
7. Scan DSD out of stocks and communicate with vendors
8. Maintain excellent 5S standards in receiving and backroom area
9. Ensure all vendors follow company policies and procedures including vendor dress code
10. Assist with scheduling routine price changes by updating shelf tags and promotional signs
11. Assist with planning, organizing and supervising the inventory process
12. Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager
13. Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads
14. Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
15. Assist with perishable donation program
16. Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are maintained
17. Ensure shipping and receiving tools are working properly to provide a smooth transition of the products/merchandise into the store and inventory logs
18. Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair e.g. power mule and hand jack
19. Ensure maximum security of receiving area and backroom
20. Develop and train Direct Store Delivery (DSD) Receiver back up
21. Communicate company, department, and job specific information to associates and vendors
22. Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to help achieve company/store goals
23. Train and develop associates on performance of their job and participate in the performance appraisal process
24. Display a positive attitude
25. Promote trust and respect among associates
26. Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management
27. Hazmat management, ensure that all wastes (including hazardous) are managed properly
28. Manage store maintenance supplies
29. Notify management of customer or employee accidents
30. Report all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud
31. Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math

Desired Previous Job Experience:

• Grocery department experience (Minimum 2 years)
• Computer Assisted Ordering experience (Minimum 2 years)
• Receiving experience (Minimum 1 year)
