Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Internal Medicine Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3rd shift, 12-hour nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum years of experience in acute care patient management required License: Current state Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider or an approved equivalent Must-Have: Clinical competence in the care and management of an acute care patient population Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice acquired through completion of education at an accredited School of Nursing Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This individual demonstrates competency in the delivery of care to an adult population. The role involves essential functions adapted from the Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice. Clinical competence and experience in the management of acute care patients is required. Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice is necessary for eligibility for licensure as a Registered Nurse.
