Role Description The Career Services Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Middletown, DE. This role focuses on guiding learners and clients through their career development journey, including exploring interests, identifying strengths, and setting realistic goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing one-on-one career counseling, conducting workshops on resume writing, interviewing, and job search strategies, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of labor market trends and employer needs. The advisor will collaborate with internal teams to align career services with program offerings, track participant progress, and document activities in company systems. The role also involves building relationships with employers, ensuring a high level of customer service, and contributing to continuous improvement of career support resources. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Career Counseling and Career Development skills to support diverse learners in defining and achieving their professional goals. Candidates should possess effective Communication and Customer Service skills to interact professionally with learners, colleagues, and employer partners. Candidates should possess practical knowledge of Job Search Strategies, including resume and cover letter preparation, networking, and interview techniques. Candidates should possess strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines. Candidates should possess proficiency with common office and collaboration software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, video conferencing) and be comfortable learning new systems. Bachelor’s degree in counseling, human services, education, business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Experience in career services, workforce development, education, or related fields is highly beneficial.
