Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, dimensional specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
Determine appropriate tooling, workholding, speeds, feeds, offsets, and machining sequences.
Perform multi-operation setups while maintaining feature-to-feature accuracy and part consistency.
Machine complex geometries, thin walls, small features, pockets, contours, and closely located holes.
Edit CNC programs, offsets, and cutting parameters at the machine to improve accuracy and performance.
Create CNC programs when required, depending on the candidate's level of experience.
Select and safely use small-diameter cutting tools without compromising tool life or component quality.
Inspect completed work using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment.
Identify setup, tooling, programming, or dimensional issues and make the necessary corrections.
Work closely with engineers to resolve manufacturability challenges and support design changes.
Maintain accurate production, inspection, and material documentation.
Follow all safety, quality, and aerospace manufacturing requirements. Qualifications Needed: High school diploma or GED required; machining certificate or technical training is preferred.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerances, and detailed manufacturing specifications.
Experience with prototype, research and development, job-shop, or low-volume production work.
Ability to use micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, and other precision inspection equipment.
Experience editing CNC programs and troubleshooting machining problems at the control.
Ability to work effectively with engineering personnel when machining new or evolving component designs.
