Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med Surg/Telemetry RN for a 13-week assignment requiring compact or IA RN licensure and Epic experience.
Details

Center for Acute Care unit (3N) at a regional medical center
Patient population includes all post-surgical and post Cath patients
Unit utilizes cardiac, heparin, insulin, and some titration drips
Day shift schedule, 3x12s starting at 0645
Every third weekend required
No on-call requirements
May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses
May be asked to float to ER and ICU if needed
36 hours guaranteed per week
Requirements

Active RN license (IA or compact) required
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of experience in Med Surg, Tele, or Med/Tele required
Epic EMR experience required
First-time travelers accepted with at least 3 years of nursing experience
Must not have been employed by the health system within the last 12 months
Driver's license required with a taxable address outside 50 miles from the facility
Additional Information

Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team
Facility is a Level 3 trauma center
Holiday coverage required for 1-2 of the following: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's
Orientation occurs every Monday
Local candidates not accepted; all candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
One supervisory reference required from within 2 years of employment or contract
